I didn’t give this note considerable of a chance when it first came on but ended up watching a few and got totally twisted. I had missed mighty of the first season, so recently I bought the 2 DVD location.

I must say that this series has gotten many very negative reviews and only lasted two seasons, but one thing I didn’t know till I got the DVDs and listened to Binder and Walgner talk about the present was that it premiered on 9/11/2001, it never had a hope. It was upstaged by the biggest event of the recent century.

After watching the whole DVD series I can say that this prove did have a lot of heart. This struggle for a married man (of which I am one) to remain ecstatic and actual when opportunity runs rampant in his life is one I can recount to. Mickey has it all, a grand job, luminous perky wife who he obviously loves, but he is constantly tempted and pushed into outside relationships by his friends, hot young assistant, and his beget insecurity.

I judge Binder did an effective job of getting us married men thinking about all the crap that goes around in our heads every day. I’m not saying the acting or writing were Emmy quality, but it was a kindly, attractive present and should be recognised as such.

First this was one of the funniest series I had ever seen. Every episode was hilarious. Man, I do I miss seeing Sonja Walger every week. Perfect wife, mother, and man what an English temper. Well it was also revealed that this series debuted on 9/11/01. I guess America was not ready for a bunch

In 1955, Manhattan artist Tobias Schneebaum traveled to Peru on a Fulbright scholarship. He visited a remote Dominican mission, where he allowed curiosity about the local tribespeople to lure him into the jungle. He spent seven months in the jungle with the Amarekaire people (now called Harakambut), who were cannibals, and was presumed listless. But he emerged from the jungle no longer keen in an artist’s career, deciding to pursue anthropology instead. In 1969, he wrote a book, “Hold the River on Your True”, about his experiences in the Amazon jungle. Schneebaum went on to live among the headhunting Asmat of Unique Guinea, as well. The improbable thing is that these cultures popular him. It’s difficult to know how to rate this film, because it is a poorly crafted film about an though-provoking subject. The film’s nonsensical organization obstructs most of the epic. The DVD: Bonus features include deleted scenes, a photo gallery, sketches by Tobias Schneebaum, a “Jungle Sprint” book excerpt, a Tobias Schneebaum biography, and a bio of the filmmakers. There are 9 deleted scenes, most of which are not actually current scenes, but slightly more footage of scenes that were in the movie. They’re not worth watching. The Photo Gallery features 10 photographs, some of which are of Schneebaum in his youth before he went to Peru. “Jungle Scoot” is a children’s book written in 1959 by Mary Britton Miller, inspired by Schneebaum’s jungle experience, which he illustrated. A few pages of the book are included. The bios are text.

Originally released as “Once I was a Cannibal”, this is a documentary about Tobias Scheenbaum, a 78 year musty jubilant man, who traveled to Unusual Guinea and Peru in the fifties and has some uncommon and wild tales to snort. Mr. Scheenbaum lives in Manhattan, gives lectures about his travels at museums and tourist ships and has written several books about his experiences. Now, filmmakers David and Laurie Shapiro have created this film which has won several awards among independent filmmakers. They proceed assist to Unusual Guinea and Peru with him and the audience sees that many of the people of these regions remember Mr. Scheenbaum with affection. One of the Unusual Guinea men old-fashioned to be his lover. Then, they fade support to Peru, where Mr. Scheenbaum recalls going on a hunt with the tribesmen that resulted in slay and cannibalism. And, yes, he did sample a bit of human flesh.

Mr. Scheenbaum is disclose and witty and a trustworthy storyteller. He’s speaks openly about his homosexuality and there is a lot of introspection about his experience of cannibalism. He’s written several books on the subject and we behold film clips from excerpts from talk shows he’s been on through the years. While I found the movie spellbinding, I had a immense predicament with it. It’s all about Mr. Scheenbaum. It’s not about the people of Original Guinea or Peru. I guess I was hoping for an anthropological film. I wanted to know more about the tribe in Novel Guinea than the fact that Mr. Scheenbaum had male lovers. I wanted to know what the meaning of cannibalism had in the rituals of the people of Peru. I wanted to know about both these tribes’ religious customs, marriage rituals, burial practices, etc. In short, I wanted to choose my possess dart into the rainforest and learn about the contrivance of these people.

Alas, this was not to happen. This was a film about Tobias Scheenbaum and his enjoy filters through which he viewed his experiences. It’s all about him, not the people he came in contact with. And that, to me was the weakness of the film. I unprejudiced wish that some filmmakers would want to do a film about the fast-disappearing non-literate cultures of the world without making it a celebration to the enlightening experiences of an American. There’s stuff out there about the staunch people in Modern Guinea and Peru that is indeed worthwhile to film. This is a not a unpleasant film for what it is. There’s nice film footage of Original Guinea and the rainforest. The documentary techniques are professional. And the viewer comes away with some insights into the persona of Tobias Scheenbaum. But I cannot cover my disappointment in wanting something more.

Jack Griffin is a shiny scientist who has some ideas that his peers believe uncertain and unethical. Not one to be dissuaded, Griffin successfully experiments on himself, becoming the first human to be rendered invisible. Unfortunately, prolonged invisibility–or possibly the invisibility drug itself, as his peers had warned–begins to deteriorate Griffin’s mind, and he soon becomes a power-hungry killer twisted on revenge.

Though rarely seen in the film due to the special effects and costuming demanded by the allotment, Claude Rains does a dynamic job in the role of Jack Griffin. Not too many years before this “talkie” was made, movie stars had to lisp the essence of the account, with body langauge, without words, as it was the era of the peaceful film. In this film, the star would act with only his words, his whisper, to content this horrible character, as he was…well…invisible through 99% of the film. So who better then a stage actor, one with a exclaim that gets our attention, to better recount “The Invisible Man”.

The two-disc special edition of Current Jack City is a sizable investment for fans of the classic hip-hop drama. Released in 1991, Novel Jack City was the first feature film Mario Van Peebles released. The film also was a breeding ground for actors who went on to have very successful careers. The music of the “Modern Jack” movie is almost as memorable as the movie itself. Ice T stars in the film as a “Novel Jack” cop who goes undercover to wreck down the “CMB” crime mob. Crack was running rampant. Wesley Snipes starred as Nino Brown and Allen Payne starred as his upright hand man “G-Money.” It’s a mammoth film and Chris Rock appears in the film as a crack head named Pookie. “Original Jack City” is the first hip-hop gangsta movie classic. It wasn’t fair a shoot em’ up bang bang movie, it really captures the essence of those mafia/organized crime movies. The DVD’s packaging is very nice.

The Road To Fresh Jack City-

This is hands down the best featurette on the special features.

Usually when you gaze these slow the scenes features, at lease one of the main actors is missing. Not so with Unique Jack City. Mario Van Peebles (actor/director), Ice-T, Chris Rock, Wesley Snipes, Allen Payne and Judd Nelson content on the film. It’s really attractive to examine the actors dispute their feelings about the film. Nino Brown is such a memorable character and Wesley Snipes seems very upbeat in reminiscing about the film. This featurette is really incredible because they collect inside of every major character enthusiastic in the film. They even discuss clear scenes. This is gargantuan.

NJC-A Hip Hop Classic

Fab Five, Nappy Roots, Truth Hurts, A DJ from Power 106, Ed Lover, Ice T, Warren G, and a few others jabber about the film and the films soundtrack. Cassandra Mills-the soundtracks producer tells the epic of the films soundtrack. She states this was the first soundtrack that featured rap, hip-hop and pop songs. She explained how Color Me Badd had a #1 song, the Christopher Williams song was doing it’s thing on the pop charts and the Ice T song was thing on the rap chart. Peebles stars as one of the unprejudiced cops (along with pimp turned rapper turned actor Ice-T and Judd Nelson) trying to nail ruthless drug czar Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes) and bring down his empire of drugs and cancel, to shrimp avail. A young Chris Rock stars as a recovering addict who Ice-T and co. glance upon to succor them nab Nino, but it soon proves to be something that is great easier said than done. Unlike the “gangsta” films that followed, Fresh Jack City offered a glimmer of hope under the violence and pounding hip-hop soundtrack, and it helped initiate the career of the charismatic Snipes who would become an action star as the decade progressed. The rest of the cast does vast as well, and it’s nice to leer that the film gets the Special Edition treatment it has deserved. All in all, Novel Jack City remains a advance classic of the genre, and collected manages to absorb up to this day.

This tape has a equal mix of Disney classic and Disney fresh. It has very upbeat songs that my one year stale has loved to perceive. She has loved this tape from the first time that she watched it.

This Disney DVD Content Along Songs is an extended version of the VHS tape that cuts out the unique Jiminy Cricket intros. For a newer generation of kids it gets straight to it. The unique additions are Jungle Rhythm, Hakuna Matata, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Yummy Yummy Yummy, W-I-L-D. I contemplate it also cuts out Following The Leader that featured on the VHS edition.

You might demand “Dunston Checks In” to be a kiddy or cutesy display, and in a plot it is, but it can also be a advantageous family movie for anybody who likes comedies. A manager of a 5-star hotel in Current York, Mr. Grant (Jason Alexander), has a colossal job, but he has to examine every step he takes because if he makes one mistake in the eyes of the owner, Mrs. Dubrow (Faye Dunaway), he could lose his high paying job and go from living in a 5-star hotel to something not so nice. Mr. Grant has two kids to raise, but things unbiased might go haywire when an orangutan starts hanging out at the hotel.

But not to fret, not only is the orangutan named Dunston trusty radiant, he can also build simple things hilarious. “Dunston Checks In” isn’t a groundbreaking comedy and it’s not that unique, but it is fun to recognize, and it can be laughable. I recommend anybody who likes comedies that feature an animal as the main star to at least rent “Dunston Checks In,” if not buying it.

Ah, the simple pleasures in life. Monkey movies are getting to be few and far between, with the awful ones overtaking the respectable. (Did anyone eye Ed with Matt LeBlanc, yeah, i didn’t judge so) All those that feel that the genre of monkey movies is almost plain should leer the smart Dunston Checks In. This film has it all: a monkey that wreaks havoc in a swanky hotel, and Jason Alexander really overacting. Jason, lighten up bud! you are in a monkey movie! The staunch pleasure comes in shimmering that this film was an attempt to breath life into the monkey movie genre, a field that has been over looked by the Oscars for numerous years. The only jam with this film is that it is far too short. When will filmakers realize that monkey films should be epics, not 90 puny comedies. Give me an story monkey movie over the same ancient Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy garbage anyday. Dunston, i judge i issue for everyone when i say: I care for you!

I had not watched the unusual web series or read the amusing so I guess that makes me a non-fan/follower. On its absorb this would be a standard chop and fight film but with a very agile and profitable action gal. Instead they included a plethora of supplements that befriend give this entire package a higher rating. Actually, I had ordered this because of Doug Jones as I am one of those behind-the-scenes kind of supporters and he is another one of those guys that no one knows but has been seen by everybody (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Doom, etc.) .

You have a standard (and completely incredible in the beginning) myth of a hit woman turning the tables and killing all of those she worked for in the past. This change of heart stems from having a 12″ blade stuck in her brain, but hey – this is entertainment not reality. The stunts are gracious, the film glance is average to grainy throughout, and the acting painful at times. But what makes this (especially for the fans) are the special features.

Making of: 30 minutes covering all that went into the production outside of the focused features following.

Casting Zoe: 15 minutes of the thoughts and process unhurried having her be the one.

Eve’s Tips: Several 30-second Webisodes entailing how one can go about trying to extinguish like she can.

Overall, one thing the creators mentioned in these documentaries that I understanding of the most in rating this, is that the movie is supposed to be involving without trying to be something above a B movie – and in that case they succeeded. Two and a half stars for the film, one and a half stars for the supplements.

I really loved this film.Zoe Bell is sizable.She’s a natural for this piece and this type of film. The fight scenes are well choregraphed and well shot.Awsome knock-down swagger out fights.It’s moving and fun to glimpse.I’d recommend this movie to anyone who likes stong women, astronomical action and worn fashion style laughable book stories.

I personally enjoyed it as an adoptive father of a girl born in China. In fact we met our daughter for the very first time in the precise same room shown on this video in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. How could I not like this?

They did a considerable better editing job on their footage than I did on my footage!! But I unruffled like my video better

Especially enchanting to me is the mother who puts up a poster proclaiming to whoever might witness it (hopefully the birth mother) that the girl she adopted is doing dazzling. Then a discussion ensues with local people. I wish I could get my daughter’s birth mother.

Also challenging is the footage of the foster mother sobbing because the adoptive mother did not bring the girl to gape her one last time. I understand why the novel mother didn’t bring her – it would have been VERY painful one more time for her daughter – but it made me mediate of the kind looking woman who raised our daughter for the first year of her life. We have a few pictures of her and my daughter but were unable to meet her or to contact her – quiet to this day.

They could have added so powerful more, as the first reviewer said, but for what it is – it is noble. Kind of glossy and feel excellent and cable channel quality – but detached ample – it does in fact hit the painful issues of previous mothers and the plight of the lack of girls in China and what that will mean in the approach future for Chinese society.

Some of my fellow adopters had strong feelings about parts of the movie – the footage of the foster mother in particular. But, I don’t remember their points well and would not want to bid for them.

And I agree about the Lucy Liu comment being innappropriate – especially considering this footage was professionally edited with a person of Chinese descent in charge! Oh well. If Ms. Ling didn’t mind – should I?

All in all – if you are considering adopting from China – well worth the contemplate. Not true deep but keen.

This DVD is polished and racy to scrutinize. It is a titanic tool for showing people why one might want to adopt from China and what the process looks like when it’s all done. (It doesn’t relate well the 12 months or more of preparation, paperwork and expense that led up to receiving a petite girl.)

I could argue pro’s and con’s with the other reviewers about some of the faults they found in the program–and it certainly isn’t a perfect product–but I deem the producers did a very gracious job within the constraints of the medium and time alloted. I have always been a fan of the Friday franchise, so for me this minute deal is fair honorable. The first film is a comedy classic. The second, while laughable fails to advance the position of the first…and the third makes it all worth while with a return to gut busting hilarity. All About the bengimans is not a unpleasant film…but it is impartial provocative…nothing outstanding. All in all the four disk plot for a genuine notice from a excellent vendor is a enormous occupy.

This DVD place includes two double sided discs starring Ice Cube in some comedy favorites. “Friday”, “Next Friday”, “Friday After Next” (my personal fave) and “All About The Benjamins” are all in one region for many laughs. Mike Epps and Chris Tucker are hilarious. Any fan of Ice Cube and the “Friday” series will savor this one!!!

What a unbelievable area! It’s all the Robotech you’ve ever wanted. 7 box sets each containing 3 individual dvds. Some say Robotech is dismal to Macross. I argue that it is simply an American interpretation that has it’s pleasant points and awful. Yes the violence is dumbed down a bit, but I don’t reflect the myth really suffers from it. This is a classic.
